It's the only way to get published! This is how I'm getting where I'm going.

Half of a Rejection: Michigan
So I got my first rejection by snail mail today...from Michigan...severely damaged in one of those "we're sorry" packages from the post office. So I didn't get the pleasure of the full page rejection. lol
Fiction hopeful here--just wanted to let you know that I received my Iowa Workshop Rejection Letter today via regular post. It was a nice kick to me considering my tutor is an Iowa grad. This whole notification process is such a mystery. I really don't understand how it works or just what exactly you most possess to get into these programs. I guess I should be glad I got the "whole" letter.
I started this blog as an unpublished poet who was desperate to be published and to get into an MFA program. This blog is a record of my successes and failures.
So far, my poetry has been published in Vinyl, Conte, North Central Review, Diverse Voices Quarterly, Assisi, Muzzle, Milk Money, Poetry Quarterly, Sugar House Review, PANK, and Tidal Basin Review, Thethe Poetry, and TORCH. I am a recent graduate of University of Virginia's Creative Writing MFA program in poetry, as well as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Poetry at Drake University, and a Creative Writing Instructor for Duke TIP.
